This article is going to walk through the process of installing or updating your Social Media Auto Poster.
Why would I do this?
Perhaps you want to easily generate content for your Facebook page or your Twitter feed. Maybe you already have this content posting but it's stopped working! Installing or updating a token lets you tackle these situations.
Note: We are assuming you are already logged into MLS Property Finder.
1. Access the Blog Dashboard
The first step is to access the blog dashboard on your MLS Property Finder page.
From the main page, move your mouse to the "Update" button on the top menu. From the drop-down menu that appears, select "Blog Controls" by left clicking.
2. Install or Reactivate the Autoposter
On the Blog Dashboard you will see a "Social Media Autoposters" sections with different networks (Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn) listed below it. Their status will be displayed, as well as a button to change them. In this case we haven't installed any. The flow is similar for each but let's choose Twitter for this example.
We are going to click "Install" on the row with the Twitter "Bird" icon.
If you are already logged into Twitter, a window will pop-up asking you to confirm the auto-poster installation. If you are not logged in you will be prompted to login and verify the installation.
Enter your account credentials and click sign in. You should see a confirmation page, at which stage you can close the window.
The process is fairly similar for Facebook and LinkedIn. One thing to be cautious of with Facebook is ensuring you select the correct Facebook page to auto-post blog articles to.
To elaborate, when you login to Facebook through the pop-up it will ask you to select a page you want to use our poster with. Once you've done that you should be directed to a page confirming successful setup. You can exit the window there as well.
