With the services we offer, you are building a presence on Social Media simply by virtue of being there and having content. However, while crucial elements, these are only two parts of the recipe for boosting your presence on social media.
Here are two ways you can do that.
In this context, we refer to sharing as sharing the links to your Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook with clients, friends, and family. You can do this by including links in your email signatures, using our social media flyers, posting from you personal Facebook page, and even by sending a newsletter update (if you use those!) informing people of your new Social Media pages.
Sharing is the most grassroots way to approach this, and generally the easiest.
Examples of ways you can ask people to follow you on different platforms:
Italicized text would be replaced with your name.
- "Are you on Facebook? Be sure to like LIAM ESTAT Realtor on Facebook, and tell your friends!"
- "If you're on Twitter, be sure to follow @LIAMESTAT_RE for all the updates on my listings!"
- "Like LIAM ESTAT Realtor for all my listing updates and cool content about house hunting."
Both Facebook and Twitter have options for people looking to post ads. These ads are "boosted" (Facebook) or "sponsored" (Twitter) content that, based on the budget you provide, are guaranteed to show up more frequently to people matching certain demographic information.
To use this feature on Twitter, check out Twitter Ads. From that you can begin to manage paid campaigns to boost your posts, and find resources on best practices and tutorials on how that process works.
For Facebook, you can do this directly from your page. You can find more info, however, on Facebook's Page Guide.
These are, of course, just a few starting points for boosting your online presence through social media.
