This article is going to walk through the process of installing or updating your Social Media Auto Poster.
Why would I do this?
Perhaps you want to easily generate content for your Facebook page or your Twitter feed. Maybe you already have this content posting but it's stopped working! Installing or updating a token lets you tackle these situations.
Navigate to Social Media
As shown below, find the left-hand side menu and left-click on "Social Media" to be brought to the Social Media page.
Install or re-install posters
As shown below, you will be brought to a page with info about different social networks. For the sake of installing/re-installing auto-posters you only need to focus on the first three options. If a poster is installed (and remember, we only offer posting for Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook) you can opt to re-install it (like LinkedIn in the picture below) - useful if your posts don't seem to be showing up when they were previously.
Maybe you never set up auto-posting for a network. You can click "Not Installed" to set the poster up!
Which ever you do, the process is the same. Click the button will load a webpage when clicked. As an example, say you were having issues with Twitter and had to re-install it.
- Click "REINSTALL"
- If you are already logged into Twitter, a window will pop-up asking you to confirm the auto-poster installation. If you are not logged in you will be prompted to login and verify the installation. Enter your account credentials and click sign in. You should see a confirmation page, at which stage you can close the window.
The process is fairly similar for Facebook and LinkedIn. One thing to be cautious of with Facebook is ensuring you select the correct Facebook page to auto-post blog articles to.
To elaborate, when you login to Facebook through the pop-up it will ask you to select a page you want to use our poster with. Once you've done that you should be directed to a page confirming successful setup. You can exit the window there as well.
