The Tasks feature in your eMerge account allows you to schedule reminders to follow up with clients, reach out to leads, and perform scheduled marketing tasks, all within the same platform that you use for your online marketing.
The Task log is located at the center of your Dashboard. Here you can check on the tasks due for the day, see upcoming tasks, see completed tasks, and create new tasks as needed. Under each tab you will see the task you have created, along with the type of reminder it is (General, Email or Phone).
On the right side of each task there is an action button which will give you the option to:
- Edit the task (make changes as needed)
- Complete the task (places task under Completed tab)
- Ignore the task (places task under Completed tab, but is marked as Ignored)
- Delete the task (removes it from your tasks tabs completely)
The type of task is indicated by a small icon on the left of the task. A bell (General Reminder), and envelope (Email Reminder) and a phone (Phone Reminder).
If you would like to turn off (or turn on) your Task reminders, simply click your name on the top-right side of your account, then click on Account Details. At the bottom of the page there are your Task option to send a Daily Summary and Task Alerts. The former is an option for a summary email which we will send to you reminding you of the tasks you have coming up that day. The alerts are determined when creating a task and selecting if you would like a reminder.
Finally, can also see completed, past due, current and upcoming tasks on your Calendar.
Task Tabs
The tabs running along the top of the task section help prioritize your tasks for you.
Today’s Tasks are the reminders that are due by the end of the day
Upcoming tasks are reminders of what is coming up in the future.
Past Due tasks are reminders that are older than the current date and time, but have not yet been completed.
Completed tasks are reminders that you have marked completed in your account.
Next to each tab is a number that indicates how many tasks are under it. If there is no number then that tab is empty, and the numbers only refer to tasks that are due today, completed today, or upcoming within the next week.
