To create a new task from the dashboard simply click the Create Task button. A modal will pop up and you will need to title the task (example: Send new listing to Top Lead group) and select which type of task you would like: General, Email or Phone.
General: This can be any general task that you need to be reminded to complete at a time or day.
- Type the information you need for your task in the Description section.
Email: This is a task to remind you that you need to an email to a contact in your eMerge account.
- Enter the name or email of the person you want to send the email to.
Phone: This is a task to remind you to call or text a contact in your eMerge account
- Enter the name or phone number of the contact
Description: Once the type is selected, you may add a description to the task to remind yourself what the task was all about to begin with.
Task Due: Next choose what date & time you wish the task to be completed by. If you are planning on completing it that day simply check the box next to “By End Of Day”. Any tasks that go uncompleted by the end of the due day/time will go under the Past Due tab.
Remind Me: Here you may choose the method by which eMerge will remind you that tasks need to be completed. Your options are Via Email, Via Text, Both, or No Thanks (the program will not send a reminder). If you choose to be reminded you may then also choose how far in advance (in minutes & hours) you would like to receive the reminder (Example: Set a reminder via email one hour before my task to call Joe is due). If you have set your due date to be By End Of Day, then the reminder option goes away.
Once you have filled out these items click Create and the task will be added to your tab and to your eMerge calendar.
