Due to some older versions of WordPress having security issues related to the built-in remote publishing tools, certain Hosting Providers have set up security measures to block access to remote publishing. In order to use eMerge to remotely publish blog articles, you will need to have some settings updated on the hosting environment when your WordPress blog currently resides.
If you have FTP access to your WordPress installation, you can try overriding the built-in security by creating a file named ".htaccess", and placing the following lines in the file:
SecFilterInheritance Off
This file must reside in the root or base folder of your hosting account.
If you do not have FTP access or are unable to override the security settings using this method, you will need to contact your hosting provider and have them assist you in allowing remote publishing access. Please inform your hosting provider that you are attempting to remotely publish to your WordPress blog and give them the following details:
"Attempting to post to xmlrpc.php, using the POST method with a content type of text/xml. Posts will be coming from the IP address 204.232.210.125"
